Newborn Photography Session with Sarah Stone, Pregnancy & Newborn Photographer
I often get asked ‘what happens if our baby cries and doesn’t settle during the session?’ The answer? You will always be given the option to re-schedule your session. I’d much prefer to capture beautiful sleepy, relaxed images of your newborn and not cause any additional stress. So, I thought I would post a great example of this…
This beautiful newborn was sleeping soundly when I arrived, then when we tried to move her away from Mummy – baby wasn’t happy. Although I still managed to capture some great Mother & Baby images, some great detail shots and a classic ‘newborn cry’ (which I love as it makes them look sooo newborn) – I didn’t want to distress this little angel so I offered to re-visit….
On my return, the session was completely different. Just take a look below and see for yourself the beautiful images I managed to capture.

Baby & Child Photography On-location in South Wales
This summer has been completely manic and I have got to say that I have loved EVERY minute!
Word is spreading about my photography and the diary is filling extremely quickly! So, if you’re planning a photography session so that you can give photographs as Christmas gifts – book in now as the slots are dwindling!

As soon as I arrived Little Miss P greeted me with a huge smile! I couldn’t get my camera out quickly enough but it didn’t matter – she smiled… and smiled and smiled all the way through our session. Then there was a quick nap for the beautiful Mother & Baby picture and then play time again! Such a happy, contented little princess.

You may remember that I was featured in ‘Digital Photographer Magazine’ for my on-location, natural light work with newborns, babies, children and families.
The reason for my post is because I’ve been completely overwhelmed by the amount of people ~ internationally ~ who have contacted me. The feedback from my article, tips and advice has been fantastic. It feels quite strange that my work is inspiring others to pick up a camera and have a go! I think it’s fantastic that people are enjoying my work and can connect with my style. Thank you! I hope I can continue to inspire you.

On-location Baby & Family Photography Session – South Wales
This is one session I will remember for a long time. Smiles, smiles, and more smiles from this gorgeous baby boy!
Then, with some beautiful Welsh nursery rhymes being sung my his beautiful Mummy ~ a dose so that I could capture the skin-to-skin pictures and those stunning eyelashes!!! (for all the ladies… you’d be so jealous).
I love the little personality that shines through his pictures….what a sweetie!

Bump – Baby Photography Package ~ On-location in Cwmbran
Isn’t this expectant Mum just beautiful? In the full bloom of pregnancy and looking radiant! It’s a joy to be asked to photograph someone’s bump – you feel that you’re part of the story before the baby has even arrived.
It’s so lovely to spend time chatting about what’s to come and seeing someone so full of love for the little person growing inside her that I thought she was going to have the most laid back baby ever…
…. I was right!
The newborn session was amazing, with not a care in the world, this gorgeous baby boy was so laid back we managed to achieve all the ideas we spoke about during the pregnancy session!
You see… you can always hope to achieve images like this but if baby doesn’t want to do something – you know there’s no chance.
Rebecca said ‘try anything you want….’….. so I did! The parents are overwhelmed with the final results. I’m just grateful they allowed me to capture these special moments in their lives. Hopefully now, they can cherish these images forever.
That’s what it’s all about.

This great family become a client through one of my picture parties. Zoe booked a 12 Month Photography Plan to capture her little boys development ~ so that’s exactly what we did. Tiny toes, beautiful eyes, wispy hair, big smiles… we caught it all!
Our final session was at the beautiful Museum of Welsh Life in Cardiff where the grounds are beautiful and we were able to create some stunning family portraits to finish off their package. That’s the beauty of being an on-location photographer in South Wales ~ there are so many glorious venues, you can now turn your photographic session into a day out like Zoe and her family did.
I thoroughly enjoyed our sessions and I’m looking forward to capturing more memories in the future.

I had the pleasure of capturing a Bump – Baby session for this great couple. Some people are just so lovely to work with and this couple were a prime example! I love these sessions, I feel completely honoured to be able to document this special time for expectant parents.

A bit of fun…
Now… this is probably the only time you will see pictures of me posted on this blog or my website! I just thought I’d update you on my fun day out with Ryan, from RTW Photography.
Due to the re-design I needed some pictures, so there was no-one else I wanted to ask. Ryan. He helped out at a few of my sessions earlier in the year and he went down a storm ~ the children loved him and we clicked (sorry for the un-intentional pun) straight away.
I had good idea about the type of images I wanted but also wanted abit of fun at the same time ~ so we went for it big time and had a ball. This is my one time in front of the camera and will be my last. I was itching to swap places so I could get a few of the old warehouse ~ such a great location for textures and tones.
I thought I’d share a few with you….
